...anyone know where one might be able to get this "new" type of cut around town?

Just a wondering.

Thanks.

I'm currently testing this out on my skates. I go to Dave's Sports in Fridley just north of 694 and Central (Moore Lake Drive I believe). I tried their "standard" which they refer to as 150 and I found they weren't edgy enough for my liking. So I moved up to the 175 and I really like them so far. Been skating on the 175 for 3 sessions so far with no problems. Nice and edgy and I do notice the difference in "glide".

I think height and weight could be a factor in which cut you choose so for reference, I'm 5'9" / 180lbs.

Thumbs up so far. Downside? $4.00 for regular sharpening / $7.50 for this one.

Paul

I'm a big fan as well, and use it on both regular and goalie skates.

There is a thread on this somewhere on here, V-cut I believe is in the title.

Roseville Play It Again apparently has it.

The literature on it refers to it as the "Flat Bottom V".

I go to Dave's too, I started with a 100/50 and now use the 100/75.

Love it.

Anyone notice a change in the time needed between sharpenings yet?

More - less - no change?
