Post Fogerty Level 3 attendance woes
It took a lot of work (by Trevor Tjemeland) and money (from JMS) last fall to kick off the Fogerty session.

Signups were strong for a while there but now, alarmingly, have fizzled off. I thought it was stable but with recent turnouts at rock bottom again, I'm seriously considering allocating those JMS funds to another session somewhere else.

I love the idea of pushing JMS out into the burbs so folks can skate close to home; Fogerty was one of the flagship examples of that goal. But with recent low numbers I'm starting to think that doesn't matter, or doesn't matter enough.

What's behind the downturn?
(And don't say it's the hours, because we had some 10.20 start times with full rosters even a month ago... these recent sessions have been 9.40 and 10p starts, with a mere 14 or so skaters. It's not the start time.)

Are people interested interested in having a Fogerty session... but not interested enough to sign up?

The bottom line is that Fogerty has had a good chance for success, but I'm not going to run a session that can't pay for itself... just can't subsidize local hockey that way. If Fogerty doesn't turn around very soon, I'm going to have no choice but to pull the plug on it.

Wish I could make fogerty more regularly. Good group of regulars and Trevor is a terrific captain. But sons' hockey now frequently conflicts, and I find myself having to go to Weds. or Friday sessions.

I wish I could play more often, but I only get out when my wife travels. Fogerty group is close and good, but I just can't be a regular.

My son's hockey and early Tuesday morning hockey are my biggest challenges to attending any Monday or Tuesday night skates. I hope you can keep up Fogerty but I understand if you can't.

Maybe a switch in days or reduction to twice a month before totally abandoning it.

I can make MOST Tuesdays at Fogerty but try to skate L4 now and then and that has been a Tuesday ( like tonight ) but Blaine is great as it is 31 miles closer than BIG. Love to see you keep it but....... understand if you can't.

I can only play 1-2x/month but when I do it's almost always at Fogerty (most convenient time and place for me). I'd love to see it continue if possible. If there's no Fogerty, there's not many other opportunities up north.

I would really love to see this ice time stay open since it is the closest one to my house. I can skate there every other week for sure, but that's all I can commit to. I will be sad if it's stopped, but I guess you'll have to do what you have to do.

Coming from Champlin, Fogerty is the closest rink for me too. I admit, I didn't log in to sign up until early this evening, and found the session wasn't there. Probably should sign up sooner to help show some numbers.

As with most of the other posters I enjoy the Fogarty skate but just cannot get there every week. I was dissapopinted to see it cancel today as I was planning to attend. Personally, I likely would not attend another session as most are just too far to make it worthwhile. I hope Fogarty continues but I certainly understand your position.
